Parties and Acceptance
This agreement is between you (the parent or student) and Logibyte Technologies, operating the TutorVy brand. By submitting a requirement or using our matching service, you accept this agreement together with our Terms and Conditions.
Purpose of the Agreement
It explains how TutorVy helps you find a suitable independent tutor, your responsibilities, and the terms that apply to the service.
TutorVy's Role
TutorVy is a tutoring-services platform that assists in connecting you with independent tutors for home and online tuition. We shortlist and introduce tutors; the engagement decision is yours.
Service Requirements
To match you well, please share accurate details about the student's class, subject, board, location, schedule, learning mode and budget.
Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate information and to update us if your requirement changes, so that matches remain suitable.
Tutor Matching
We review your requirement, shortlist suitable tutors and coordinate an introduction, interview or trial where the tutor agrees.
Tutor Selection
The final decision to engage a tutor rests entirely with you. We recommend an interview or trial before confirming.
Parent's Independent Assessment
You are responsible for independently verifying a tutor's identity, qualifications, experience and suitability before classes begin.
Trial Session
A trial session, where available, helps assess fit. Any trial terms or fees are disclosed in advance.
Home-Tuition Safety
Home-Tuition Safety
For home tuition, ensure a safe, supervised environment at all times. A parent or guardian should be present or nearby, especially for minors, until fully satisfied with the tutor.
Online-Tuition Requirements
For online tuition, you are responsible for a suitable device, internet connection and a quiet, supervised study space for the student.
Minor Supervision
Where the student is a minor, the parent or guardian is responsible for supervision and for monitoring the student's safety and well-being during tuition.
Student Conduct
Students should attend scheduled sessions punctually, engage respectfully and complete agreed work to benefit from tuition.
Parent Conduct
Parents agree to communicate respectfully with tutors and TutorVy staff and to raise concerns promptly and fairly.
Academic Integrity
Tuition must support genuine learning and must not be used to obtain dishonest academic assistance in violation of an institution's rules.
Fees and Payments
Applicable Platform Fees and payment terms are disclosed and agreed before confirmation. Where online payments are enabled, they may be processed under the billing name Logibyte Technologies.
Tutor Fees and Platform Fees
Tutor fees for actual tuition are separate from any TutorVy Platform Fee and are agreed directly with the tutor unless stated otherwise.
Cancellations
Cancellations are handled in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. Cancellation and refund are separate determinations.
Rescheduling
Reasonable rescheduling requests made in advance will be accommodated where possible, subject to tutor availability.
Tutor Replacement or Alternative Matching
If a selected tutor becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative, subject to availability.
Communication and Records
We may keep records of your requirement and communications to provide the service and for quality and compliance purposes.
Privacy and Student Information
Student and parent information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and shared only as needed to arrange tuition.
Recording of Sessions
Any recording of sessions should only take place with the informed consent of all participants and, for minors, the parent or guardian.
Non-Circumvention
Where TutorVy introduces a tutor, you agree not to bypass TutorVy to avoid applicable fees for that introduction, as set out in our Terms.
Prohibited Conduct
Harassment, abuse, discrimination, fraud or any unlawful or unsafe conduct towards tutors or staff is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of service.
No Guaranteed Academic Outcome
No Guaranteed Outcome
TutorVy does not guarantee academic marks, rankings, examination results or admissions. We facilitate access to tutors; outcomes depend on many factors.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us through our Contact page and we will address it fairly and promptly.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end the service in cases of misuse, unsafe conduct, non-payment or breach of this agreement, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Liability and Statutory Rights
Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this agreement limits your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, the courts at Dwarka, New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Agreement Acceptance
By submitting a requirement or using the matching service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept this Parent Service Agreement.
